+Coop: sharing our experience as a cooperative

On 7 July we took part in Xornada +Coop, held in A Estrada and organised by EspazoCoop, one of the organisations that supported us during nosDeu's first months as a cooperative.

The event brought together different experiences around setting up cooperatives and gave us the chance to share our own: how we got here, what this model has given us and why we feel it fits the kind of company we want to build.

Seeing ourselves on the other side of the screen

During the event we had a first look at the video +COOP: Asesoramos para crear cooperativas, in which Brais shared part of our experience during the incorporation process.

Explaining how we want to build nosDeu

Taking part in +Coop was also an opportunity to explain something that, for us, goes beyond legal structure.

Being a cooperative shapes how we make decisions, share responsibilities, circulate knowledge and think about growth. We do not see this model simply as a corporate structure, but as another part of how nosDeu is designed.

It also has a lot to do with how we work with clients: supporting without creating dependency, sharing context and building relationships where knowledge does not remain locked inside the service provider.
