The guidance
The guidance
At nosDeu we understand guidance as a way to build long-term relationships. We know that organizations evolve over time, and we want to do the same alongside them. We are not looking to solve a one-off need and disappear. We are interested in understanding the context, sharing decisions, and building capabilities that remain within the team and help move forward.
Guiding does not mean being present all the time, but rather providing the context, experience, and judgment needed for each organization to gain autonomy. If over time you depend less on us and more on the knowledge you have developed as a team, we will feel that we have done our job well.
Adapting to each moment
Guiding also means knowing how to identify the current stage of each organization. Not all of them need the same thing or at the same time.
Our job is to understand where we can add the most value at each stage. Sometimes it will be solving a specific problem. Other times, helping to make decisions, sharing knowledge, or preparing for the next step.
Just as technology, business, or ways of working evolve, our way of guiding evolves as well.
Relationships mature too
At first, we usually talk about tools, implementations, or data reliability. Over time, we get to know the business better, understand how the team works, and share the context from which decisions are made.
This continuity changes the way we work, we gain trust, we spend less time explaining the past and more time thinking about what comes next.
The best decisions are usually cumulative. Many barely draw attention when they are made, but over time they end up becoming the foundation upon which everything else is easier to build.
Building autonomy
Knowledge only generates value when it remains and grows within the organization.
We document decisions without resorting to bureaucracy, explain the 'why' behind solutions, and share the context we work with. We want the team to understand what has been done, why it has been done, and how they can continue building upon it.
We understand guidance as a way to grow knowledge within the organization. The better you understand your own ecosystem, the more interesting the conversations will be and the greater the challenges we can tackle together.
If after working together the organization understands its ecosystem better and each conversation starts with a better question than the previous one, we will know we are on the right track.
How we put it into practice
Each organization needs a different form of guidance depending on its moment, its challenges, and the available capacity within the team.
In some cases, the goal will be to protect and maintain what already works. In others, to evolve it continuously, accelerate certain projects, or join as a regular extension of the team.
We have defined different guidance plans (/nosotros/como-trabajamos/planes-de-acompanamiento) that share the same way of working, but differ in reserved capacity, collaboration frequency, and the degree of involvement we assume at any given time.
